Dolmabahçe Sarayı: İnşa Süreci, Mekân ve Teşkilatı (Dolmabahçe Palace: Construction Process, Space and Organization), reviews the construction process of Dolmabahçe Palace, which is designed to meet the need for a new palace that is suitable for administrative and political spirit, organization and protocol of Tanzimat reform era and shares the results relating to this process via primary sources that have been made available for research in the last fifteen years. In addition to the construction staff, the master builder and architects, the material used, cost and construction organization, spatial functions of Dolmabahçe Palace and findings related to the palace complex also have been included benefiting from spatial organization and survey books. In the context of Dolmabahçe Palace the 19th century palace organization (Mâbeyn-i Hümâyûn) is being examined in the light of archival documents. Data relating to the operation, units and staff of Mâbeyn-i Hümâyûn complement each other with spatial analyses and findings. The book aims to be a source for analysis of the palace in the second half of the 19th century in terms of political, architectural, cultural, social and administrative history.
